Quotes to Quote - 2

Few interesting thought-bits that I came across this week.
    • Imagine if you can only know one thing in the world and that one thing is that you don't know anything.
    • When you explore a new field of knowledge, there are three stages.
      1. you don't know what you don't know - not useful for anyone
      2. you know what you don't know - you are useful for yourself
      3. then you know what you know and what you don't know - you become useful for others
    • We all see but only few observe; we all hear but only few listen; we all speak but only few mean.

I'm here !

Hi there,

I'm going to use this blog as a place to collect the links/passages/news that are interesting to me. And may start writing if I want to think loud (but not in the near future though!). So if your interest aligns with mine, look forward !

For long time, I was thinking how to explain my interest here and settled for the following way. I take help from Einstein to explain my belief system, hence my interest:

" The most beautiful thing we can experience is the Mysterious -- the knowledge of the existence of something unfathomable to us, the manifestation of the most profound reason coupled with the most brilliant beauty. I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, or who has a will of the kind we experience in ourselves. I am satisfied with the mystery of life's eternity and with the awareness of -- and glimpse into -- the marvelous construction of the existing world together with the steadfast determination to comprehend a portion, be it ever so tiny, of the reason that manifests itself in nature. This is the basis of cosmic religiosity, and it appears to me that the most important function of art and science is to awaken this feeling among the receptive and keep it alive. "

Any form of art / science that explores this very thought of "the mysterious" would definitely interest me. And I always try to mull over this thought and constantly revive myself in the process of doing so! So look for such thoughts on this tiny planet of Internet galaxy !
